Claim your listing
Your server may already be listed on MMOLove. Claiming is free and takes minutes — verify ownership by domain email, website tag or Discord, and the listing appears in your dashboard with every tab unlocked.
Your server may already be listed on MMOLove — many listings start life as community or directory entries. Claiming is free and gives you the full owner dashboard: edit everything, see your hearts analytics, wire up reward callbacks, add the Heartkeeper Discord bot, and (if it isn't live yet) publish the listing yourself.
Start at mmolove.gg/claim — search for your server and hit Claim. You'll need a signed-in account; a player account is upgraded to a promoter account inline during the claim.
Claiming never changes the listing's status: a live listing stays live, its data simply becomes yours to manage.
The four verification methods
The wizard at /claim/{game}/{server} offers up to four methods, ordered by
ease. Pick whichever proof is most convenient — they all grant the same
ownership.
1. Email at your domain
Shown when the listing has a website URL. Pick one of the whitelisted mailboxes at the site's own domain —
admin@ · owner@ · contact@ · webmaster@
— and we send it a 6-digit code (15-minute expiry, 5 attempts). Control of one of those mailboxes at the listing's registrable domain is accepted as proof of ownership. Fastest method if you can read mail at your domain.
2. Website tag
Prove you control the website by serving the claim token, with either proof:
- a meta tag in the homepage
<head>:<meta name="mmolove-verification" content="{token}">, or - a plain-text file at
/.well-known/mmolove-{token}.txt.
The wizard gives you copy-paste snippets for both and a Check now button with explicit failure reasons (no tag found, site unreachable, …). Remove the tag afterwards if you like — verification is recorded permanently.
3. Discord
Shown when the listing has a Discord invite. Authorize with Discord
(identify guilds — we never see your password) using an account that holds
Manage Server or Administrator in the guild the listing's invite
resolves to. Best for Discord-first servers without a traditional website.
4. Manual review
Can't use any of the above? Write a short justification (plus an optional evidence URL) and a human reviews it — you're emailed the decision either way. This is also where contested claims land automatically: if a listing already has a verified owner, no instant method can take it over; staff review is the only transfer path.
After you've claimed
The listing appears immediately in your dashboard with every tab — Overview, Settings, Analytics, Integration. Good first stops:
- Settings — fix up the name, slogan, description, banner, tags, region and language (the community-seeded data is often minimal).
- Publish — if the listing is unpublished, complete the required items and put it live.
- Integration — set your reward callback and add Heartkeeper so votes pay off in-game and in Discord.
Rather have the listing removed than claim it? Contact us from an address at the listing's domain and we'll take it down.
MMOLove Developer Platform
Wire MMOLove into your game server — reward voters, reward referrers, and show off your rank.
Publishing your listing
Listings start unpublished and you put them live yourself — no waiting on a review queue. Complete the five required items, hit Publish, done. Moderation is reactive and only intervenes on rule-breaking listings.
